SUMMARY:Course - Race Timing With Webscorer
DESCRIPTION:New date! \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFor the last couple of years\, we have used Webscorer for the series results and majority of race results for the Dartmoor Fell Series. I’ve also used it to time various other events\, some running\, some cycling\, some multi-sport. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHowever\, we need to increase the size of the “timer pool” for the Dartmoor Fell Series (other timing opportunities also available). \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis course focuses on how to time a running race\, on a single device\, using Webscorer. It includes- \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhy use Webscorer?Difference between the most common electronic timing systemsStart list creationSetting up a race on WebscorerWhat makes a good finish line?Timing a raceWhat to do if you click the wrong buttonWhat to do if everything goes wrongBackup systemsResults processing \n\n\n\nIt will include the chance to time a demo race. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis course is aimed particuarly at fell races\, but is applicable to many other running events. For cycling events that require laps\, for example cross country\, if there is enough interest I’m happy to run a CrossMgr course later. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTea and coffee will also be provided.
