A new race in evening format for this year based at Postbridge. Race organiser and Run Venture founder Colin Kirk Potter. Plenty of parking in DNP car park ( get a ticket) or across in woods . there will be juniors format to be confirmed but expect 5:45 start for U9/u11 and U13/U15.
For seniors a route that takes you to less visited places with stunning views, remember kit may be required across this 10k course with 270m of climb. There will be marshals in a few spots to make sure course and road crossing safe – otherwise the course will be unmarked.
Expected route will start in woods opposite DNP car park, taking level forest track for approx 800m before a right turn to take path across the road- mind the traffic!. A footpath/ trod is then followed behind the historic powder mills farm obvious heading for the large chimney – this takes you up to first steep climb to Longaford tor. essentially it is then an undulating ridge run keeping Postbridge on your right, Hgher White tor , then Lower white tor then following a fence past Braddon tor (not named on map).to acces gate that marks start of descent the ground is quite wet and pock marked with cow hooves marks – so take care but have fun- you quickly get to smalll stream of braddon lake and then follow very clear path back to DNP info centre ( finish).
there is a great green next to the clapper bridge and a pub to celebrate your success.
