Dartmoor series Belstone loop – race 1

FRA rated as BM this is 13k route with over 528m climb, takes in all the familiar Belstone valley. This will also be Devon team selection race and is only open to runners over 18 years.
Route overview starts on the village green and drops to river crossing but taking path initially towards Sticklepath ( not the direct route to Cosdon), before marker and marshal on main ridge to take path to summit. ( done for ground nesting birds and your ankles), follow ridge south and take good path to summit Steeperton Tor. Direct route to valley ( marshal) and then Oke tor, then ridge back via Belstone to top gate ( windy gate) and a small bit of down hill road to finish outside village hall.
Registration, bag drop at village hall and open from 9:30. Please do not walk through hall in muddy shoes. Simple refreshments available post race.
limited entry to 80 runners – entry on the day will be £10.
